A “success story” that revolves around one family that has been
significantly impacted by The Children’s Center.
I first discovered the Children’s Center about 3 years ago. My son was diagnosed with a speech and developmental delay. I went to The Children’s Center for services through the Early Steps program. While we were there for speech and physical therapy, I found out about all the programs they offered. I began taking him to playgroup once a week and soon, we both fell in love with The Children’s Center. When we first started going there, my son barely spoke and was very frustrated and withdrawn. Now he is the most talkative child in his class. I truly believe that The Children’s Center is a big part of his success story. Every person there takes the time to know every child and his or her individual challenge. They are never judgmental and are always kind and patient. I’ve been to other places where the staff has been rude and quick to label a child. That is not so at The Children’s Center. I am so thankful that I have found this place and it will always hold a special place in both my and my son’s heart.
